UGC Candidate Dual Degree Programme
UGC (University Grants Commission) has approved a proposal for students to apply for dual degree simultaneously. Now students are allowed to pursue two degree programmes at the same time. One of the degree in regular mode and the other one in open and distance learning.

The detailed guideline is not updated yet it may update earlier. A committee under UGC vice-chairperson Bhushan Patwardhan worked on the proposal which was feedback from the public.
As per the committee reported there would be minimum number of attendance of regular degree programme and the other one should be through online mode. Further committee also said that this decision may create opportunities to UGC candidates.
Through officials UGC secretary said that,"The committee had approved the proposal and guidelines will be announce soon for further process. According to this details student can pursue two degree programmes simultaneously but the mode of delivery would be different. A student on regular mode and he can pursue second degree through online mode.
