MOM of ISRO with his CAMERA had captured photo of biggest natural satellite of MARS, PHOBOS


MOM: Mars Orbiter Mission


Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), is a government successfull space organisation who had launch a mission named (MOM) Mars Orbiter Mission on 5 November 2013 which is successfully placed in the orbit of Mars on 24 September 2014.

 Bengaluru: ISRO Mars satellite MOM, equipped with 'Mars Colour Camera' (MCC) had captured photos of natural satellite of Mars, 'PHOBOS'. Mars has two natural satellite Phobos and Demos. Phobos is biggest natural satellite then Demos. This image is clicked on 1st of july 2020 when MOM was 7,200 apprpx kilometers away from Mars and 4,200 approx kilometres away from Phobos.

ISRO tweeted with this image that, 'this above image is taken with 6 MCC frames. According to ISRO and above image in the past time, Phobos may be strucked with large asteroids then only large craters are seen. Phobos is made up of carbonaceous chondrites.
ISRO is the only organisation who achieve success in entering and aquring orbit of Mars in the first attempt. ISRO had launched on 5 NOV. 2013 with Polar Satellite Launch Vechile (PSLV) from Andhra pradesh.
