TRAINING IN RUSSIA (MOSCOW) RESUMED

4 INDIAN ASTRONAUTS RESUME TRAINING IN RUSSIA FOR ISRO's GAGANYAAN MISSION

ISRO Gaganyaan Mission: Four Indian Air Force fighter pilots are currently training in MOSCOW, and they are going to be potential candidates for the Gaganyaan project.

The astronauts which were confirmed for the training of astronauts for  Gaganyaan Mission are from INDIAN AIR FORCE. The four astronauts which were confirmed for Gaganyaan, training was running in RUSSIA GCTC. India's first human manned space mission GAGANYAAN, was stopped due to pandemic situation of coronavirus but now their training in Russia, is now resumed and it was put on hold due to COVID-19 scare.

ROSCOSMOS is also known as Roscosmos state corporation for space activities. RUSSIAN  state space corporation, ROSCOSMOS said, On 12th of MAY 2020, Gagarin Research & Test Cosmonaut Training Center (GCTC) has now resumed for training of INDIAN astronauts for GAGANYAAN mission under the contract between GLAVKOSMOS, JSC (Joint Stock Company) and the Human Spaceflight Center of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)". GLAVKOSMOS is a subsidiary part of Russian state space corporation of ROSCOSMOS. 

All four Indian astronauts are currently good in health. "(GCTC) Gagarin Research & Test Cosmonaut Training Center was continued on his work from the beginning to observe in every areas like anti epidemic (occurence of infectious disease) regulations it includes sanitary and hygienic measures and also about their regular training to be perfect for astronauts and all this was carried out at the GCTC facilities. And now GCTC observe more about anti-epidemic regulations due to COVID-19 sacre.

RUSSIAN space corporation also said that, "Social distancing measures also taken in the account and presence of unauthorised person is strictly prohibited or restricted, all employees and cosmonauts or Indian astronauts aspirants must wear medical mask and gloves." ROSCOSMOS also tweeted a picture of astronauts wearing spacesuit with the Indian flag.

Four Indian Air Fore fighter pilots are currently training in Moscow, and they would be the potential candidates for Gaganyaan Space Mission.

ROSCOSMOS also added in his tweet that this week GCTC specialists are providing training on theoretical classes on the basics of astrogation means navigation in outer space, the basics of the manned spacecraft control and the Russian language also to the Indian astronauts.

The Gaganyaan project cost is Rs 10,000 crore ambitious project is expected to be launched in 2022, in the year of 75th anniversary of India's Independence. The deal of Indian astronauts training program was signed on June 27, 2019
between the Galvkosmos and the Human Spaceflight Center of ISRO and their training in Russia was started on February 10, 2020.

Since, in the end of March, due to pandemic situation of COVID-19 and the outbreak due to coronavirus infection, lockdown was recommended everywhere. In the same way training of Indian astronauts was stopped  and now it is resumed again.

Earlier, official's reported that after the training in Russia, the astronauts will receive module-specific training in India. Where these astronauts would be trained in crew and service module designed by ISRO, learn to operate it, work around it.
